Josephine "Bubbie" MacMorris

Josephine M. MacMorris, affectionately known as “Bubbie,” of Port Jefferson Station, NY and formerly of Valley Stream, NY, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026. She was born on July 13, 1941, in Brooklyn, NY.

Josephine was the beloved wife of the late Howard MacMorris. Loving and devoted mother of Raymond MacMorris and his wife Doreen. Cherished Nanny of Diana Rae MacMorris and Thomas John MacMorris. Adored sister of Linda Antonacci and her late husband Gregory, Joseph Costanzo and his wife Marie, and Robert Costanzo. She is also survived by many loving family members and dear friends whose lives she touched deeply.

Bubbie loved nothing more than her family — they were truly her everything. Coming from a close-knit Italian family, she found great joy in cooking and bringing everyone together around the table. Her Sunday dinners became treasured family traditions filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable meals. In earlier years, she and Howard hosted large family barbecues every Sunday, where everyone eagerly looked forward to her famous baked clams.

Josephine also enjoyed playing the slot machines, visiting Jake’s 58, and spending time going out to lunch and dinner with her friends. Above all else, she was fiercely devoted to her family and always stood proudly by her son’s side through every stage of life.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. A prayer service will be held during the visitation.

A closing prayer by the funeral director will take place on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 10:15 AM, followed by interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY 11735.

Josephine’s warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
