Matis, Karen on July 29, 2014 of Mt. Sinai, LI. Beloved wife of Paul S. Matis III. Loving sister of the late Tommy Baker (Ret. F.D.N.Y). Dear sister-in-law of Lorraine Baker and friend of Deborah Gardner. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Matis was a teacher for 33 years with the Bay Shore School District. A private cremation was arranged with O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, Port Jefferson Station, LI. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
