You left many warm and caring memories to hearts and souls who worked closely with you at Nokomis Elementary School.   I, Gerri Feola being one of them.  "white cheese doodles" ...a favorite you introduced my grandson, Jacob Carollo to.  U are forever missed and loved for your warmth and caring.   RIP, Pray for us!

Kate, it is now two years since you have been called to Heaven leaving a huge hole in our hearts and in our lives.  We all miss you dearly and so much has happened since you left us. For starters I have met an amazing man, Todd, who makes me so very happy.  I truly believe he was sent from Heaven.  Maybe you and Mom helped with that, if so Thank you and Thank God.  I wish you both could have met him you would love him.  He is such a good and genuine man.
Brendan and Maureen have been living in their new home a little over a year and Maureen is doing well in school and making lots of friends.  Maureen now loves science, she is still into sports and loves spending time with Kevin & Kyle same as always.  Rosaleen is wonderful with Maureen and such a great role model.  Rosaleen makes sure Maureen has breakfast every morning before school and dinner most nights.  I think you would laugh to know that Maureen is still not a morning person and gives Rosaleen the same slowness to get ready as she did for you.  Maureen absolutely loves Brittney – I think that was such a great last gift from you.  Brittney is still wild and crazy but once you are in the house a while she calms down, helps if you bring her a toy to play with.  
Maureen is growing into such a beautiful, strong, funny, independent, smart, loving, kind, and loveable girl. You instilled so much of your greatness into her formative years and to watch all that you taught her stay with her as she handles all that life has thrown at her is truly amazing.  She is a very smart young lady who will definitely do well in her future.  She is very inquisitive and wants to learn about everything.  She is resilient and brave and she handles things better than some of the adults.  For instance, I am a big mush and always have been.  One time when I reminded Maureen that it is ok to be sad sometimes and also if she needs to cry or yell it is ok reminding her that I still get sad from missing my Mommy and my sister.  Her response to me was “but Aunt Barbara you cry at anything.”  How right she is.  She misses you and whenever we talk she asks questions about how you did things when you were her age or did you go to this place or see this movie or whatever question she may think of.  We are doing our best to keep her full of stories of her mommy.  You were so very close in life you did everything together you were inseparable, Maureen was able to experience much more in her early years with you than most kids get in their life.  She is an absolute joy to be around.   
I wish we could have taken the cruise together like we talked about. There is so much I wish you and Mom were both here to experience with us but we are also glad you are both out of pain and we have MANY, MANY, MANY memories to keep you with us in our hearts and minds all the time.  There is a saying that goes something like this:  I miss you a little, I guess you could say, a little too much, a little too often and a little more each day.  
I miss our conversations every day – we used to talk a few times a day and I would visit a couple of times a month.  I cherish all that we were able to do together in our lives and will hold those memories dear.  Stay with Maureen as her guardian angel and know that she is doing well she is happy.  Brendan and Maureen have grown as a team with Brittney as the sidekick.  Brendan is doing a great job with Maureen she is the pride and joy of both of your lives and she is always his first priority.

I wish that things were different and that I didn't have to say goodbye to my big sister but I know it is part of a bigger plan that God has in store for us all.  It comforts me to know you are in a better place and the sound of Maureen's laughter lets me know that you would be happy with the progress they have made and the joy they are able to find as they struggle to continue without you here.  You would be happy to see how your "Be kind to someone" mantra is being carried on in your school and with your friends.  We are all trying to remember you with more smiles then tears but some days it is harder then others.  Today is one of those really hard ones.....  I am going to have a big cup of tea in the cup that Maureen gave me --you know the one that looks more like a bowl-- and I will be thinking of you with with every sip. Dear Kate,

I thought I said everything I needed to say last week.  Well, as your anniversary approaches tomorrow my thoughts of you, Brendan, Maureen, your three beautiful sisters, your father, Rosaleen and that rest of your family keep traveling through my mind.  Your love, smile, positive attitude and courage amazed us all.  We are all struggling as tomorrow approaches because of the void in our "earthly" lives.  However; we now have an angel to pray to and watch over us.  My prayer today is that you watch over all of us and give us the strength to get through tomorrow and each day there after.  I love and keep you close to my heart each and every day.  Lisa

I am written this message for my husband Lloyd. His fondest memory of Kate.  It was 7:30 a.m. on Halloween morning and Kate wanted to take pictures of Bat Girl!(aka Maureen) before school. Good thing Kate was holding her cell phone with her carmera, because Bat Girl (Maureen) closed the front door behind them to go out in the front of the house, and Yes the front door locked! With Kate in panic she called the Rendall house.  Fire fighter Lloyd to the rescue.  Lloyd arrives to find Bat Girl and Kate trying to break into the house, the only way in was the bathroom window and the only one that would fit in this window is "BatGirl" No way I won't go say's BatGirl.  lol So with Kate and Firefighter Lloyd assuring her she will be fine and be the Hero of the day her response was still "NO Way"!!! Then Kate knew how to get her in the window. "if you go in the window and unlock the door I will bring you to Walmart afte school and buy you anything you want"! Really anything said Bat Girl... In the window she went and saved the day.  everyone got to school on time and Maureen and Kate where in Walmart by the end of the day.  Kate being as sweet as she was made Lloyd a batch of oatmeal cookies as a Thank You! Lloyd loved the cookies and also Kate.  xoxoxox

Kate and I met when our daughters started kindergarten.  From the first day of school the girls became Best Friends and Kate and I started a wonderful friendship.  It was like we new each other for years.  I am was so blessed to have her as my friend, she always was there when I needed help with my Brownie Troop and always  there to listed to me vent when I was having a bad day.  She became a part of my childerns life and they also have fond memory of her and I love hearing them take about it.  Mrs. Corrigan took us to see Tangled and Kayla and Kristen loved going over to Maureen's house to play and they just where so comfortable and felt at home. Kate and I could talk for hours and think  we had could figure everything out.  and that made us both feel good after our conversations.  She is a beautiful Angel and I am so thankful that Kate and Maureen and Brendan and there O'Connell family and Corrigan Family came into our lifes. Patty Rendall xoxoxox

I couldnt sleep last night, think of you and the good times we had as kids and adults. Like the time we raced the riding lawn mowers, running around in the field at the cardboard box inn and you kicked up a snake while i was chasing you and you didnt even know it, i just ran screaming the other way. Taking bike rides together around town or to the A&P for mom. The soda fight we had after one of the clambakes, that I lost!! Just hanging with you and beig sisters!!Learning from each other.
We grew up and went in different directions, you to college me to be a mom. We kept in touch, not as much as I would have liked, that was my fault. But you were always there if I needed you! Especially when I moved back home and had my son, Steven, three and a half months early. You helped me so much with him, making sure he was getting all the services he needed and that it was being done correctly. If I didnt understand what they were telling me, i could call you and you would calm me down and explain it, You even took time away from work to come sit in on meetings for him.Thank you!!
You have been there for all of my children, but if it wasnt for your help with Steven from the start, he might have not grown up to be the great kid he is today. I just wish you were still here to see how great they all are doing.
We have had alot of holidays together and alot of fun during them. We have enjoyed going to your house ,swimming, hanging out, you coming here and visiting.
We had our daughters close in age, I hope that they will have a great relationship forever. Maureen is so beautiful, she reminds me of you when we were younger. She has your smile that lights up a room.
I know Im rampling sorry,  I just hope and pray that Im as strong as you and mom were thru your ordeals with cancer. The courage and strength that you both showed was amazing. You never stopped trying to help others, you never asked for help for yourself, until you truely needed it. I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU!!! You will always be in my heart and one of my angels watching over us all.

Kate, 

I have no idea how to put into words how very much you mean to me so I will try by telling a bit about you and maybe those who read this will get a small idea.  

As we approach the unimaginable first anniversary of you being in Heaven, I can't help but reflect on a life that meant so much to me and to so many others.  First you were Mom & Dad's joy their first born daughter, then you became Kelly's sister, then mine and finally Lynn's.  You were a niece, a cousin a grandchild. Through your years in school and life you became a friend to so many.  As my sister and my forever friend you taught me so much about life, about how to handle many things, how to approach situations, how to cope with others, how to love with such an open and giving heart, and so much more than I could never put into words.    I was always in awe of you – you had such a warm and giving nature, strong faith and belief in God, confidence in who you were and were determined to succeed in life and career and you did that.  I heard a story from a classmate of mine about a time when he and his younger sister were taking a bus from Tannersville to NYC and you happened to be on that bus and they were alone – they said you sat and talked to them the whole way down so they wouldn't be afraid and that always stuck with them.  You were always putting others first and helping however and wherever you could.   You put yourself through college and grad school to become a Speech and Hearing Pathologist and worked at a few schools until you made your way back to Long Island which is where your heart always was.  You helped me move in to my college dorm – I chose the same school as you b/c when I visited you there I loved it.  You took me to my first concert at your college. You would send me care packages of things for my room and the cookies, brownies or other goodies you would bake, I would have to hide those care packages from my friends.  I used to love cooking with you – always amazed me that you would know if I snuck some batter or dough when you walked out of the room when we were baking.  You got me to try a lot of food that I never would have before as well as how to cook things that I still love to make now.  At Christmas you used to baked for all your family and friends and give out plates of cookies, brownies etc.  Loved those plates :)  

One summer, when I was in college I needed to re-take a course and you let me live with you on Long Island to attend Suffolk County and I worked with you that summer at Just Kids.  To watch you work with children with varied levels of special needs was awe inspiring.  You were in your element.  You were such a caring, warm teacher and your students truly loved you.  Watching you do something you loved so much was wonderful.  I am so glad to have had that opportunity.  You became a very established and respected part of the Sachem School system community.  

You met and fell in love with Brendan and became a wife, bought a home and built a life together, which was wonderful to watch.  You allowed me the honor of being your maid of honor for the wedding, which was such a beautiful day – you looked simply amazing such a beautiful dress, beautiful bride and a fantastic party.  You surprised Brendan with bag pipers during the reception.  Late the following year your biggest dream came true - you found out that you were pregnant.    Early the next year I was laid off work and needed a place to stay – again you opened your home to me and let me stay with you and Brendan for 9 months.  During my stay you gave birth and became a mother to the most precious girl – your beautiful Maureen.   She was the light of your life and she was such a good baby.  You again blessed me with an honor you asked me to be Maureen's God Mother.  Watching Maureen grow every day for her first 7 months until I had a new job and moved back to the city was such a blessing and I am so glad to have had all that time with you I remember so much of that time with such fondness.   Spending time with you, Brendan and Maureen during the years you grew as a family, means the world to me.  You and Maureen were so close always inseparable.  You were such a great mother to Maureen always keeping her involved and busy: soccer, basketball, softball, bowling, Irish step dancing, Girl Scouts, play dates, swimming lessons, movies, apple picking, shopping, parks, zoos, aquariums, Family trips to Atlantis, San Diego, Ocean City Maryland, Niagara Falls, cruises to Nova Scotia, road trips for the Irish dance competitions, many trips upstate to see family and friends, parties, pool parties, Broadway shows including Mary Poppins, Lion King, Little Mermaid, Disney on Ice, Hockey games, Met Games,  and so much more.  You became “Aunt Kate” 9 times over on our side of the family, and 5 times on Brendan's side of the family.  You always included me in the events that were going on in your lives and we grew closer and closer.  We would talk daily on the phone – I so miss our conversations, your sage advice, spending time and just laughing with you.  I used to LOVE to watch you get laughing so hard that tears would be falling and you could barely breathe.  It is bringing a smile to my face now imagining that scene.   You had such a wonderful laugh.  

We all rallied together when Mommy was diagnosed with breast cancer and went to meet her doctors and learn our best course of action. She was such an amazing woman in life and in the face of cancer the way she showed us to always carry ourselves with dignity, faith, grace, bravery, courage and a smile.  Like Mommy you were amazing after your own diagnosis of breast cancer - in your faith, unending spirit, your drive to be proactive, your ability to keep a smile on your face, your drive to help others because you always put helping people at the top of your list, you fought a great fight and were not willing to accept defeat.  Even tired from treatment you would still do so much – keeping up with Maureen's social life and school activities, keeping the house, the pool, every day errands and teaching as well.  

Christmas was always a favorite of yours.  For your last Christmas here with us we got over a 20” snow fall the day after Christmas.  I was able to be with you for that and it made you so happy to have a white Christmas and to see fresh snow, not yet touched by shovels or plows and how pristine everything looked.  You had just bought Brittney for Brendan & Maureen and she was a little pup loving the snow for the first time with Maureen while we watched from the sliding glass door in your kitchen.  

This past year has brought about many changes – worst is that we no longer have you here with us.  Brendan & Maureen, and also Brittney have moved into a new home near Rosaleen, Kevin & the boys.  Good news is Maureen seems to be adjusting and making new friends in her new school, she loves having the twins so close by and she and Brendan are making the best of the new house.    We are all trying very hard to adjust to life without you and it really stinks that we have to but we know you are with us in all that we do and sometimes even giving us a nudge to do things a little differently and point us in the right direction.

Although you are gone you live in our hearts and minds always.  I think of you so much and go to pick up the phone to call you and remember I can't.  Until we meet again, please keep visiting my dreams I love to see you there.  I hope you and Mom are together in Heaven watching over all of us here who miss you both so very much.

Kate and I met when Maureen and Ryan went to pre-k together.  We always laughed at when they were 2 1/2 they had their own private wedding.  The minute I met Kate, she was warm and out-going.  I have wonderful memories of sharing the kids birthday and our talks over tea.  Lots of fun times going to the Bronx Zoo, Central Park and Coney Island.  I always admired Kates strength and positive outlook.  She was a wonderful friend and I will NEVER forget her.  I know Maureen will grow up to follow her mom's footsteps.

I cannot believe it's almost a year since you passed.  I think of you often, you were such an inspiration to so many people.  Maureen is doing so well with her cousins and her aunt Rosaleen, I know aunt Rosaleen loves clothes shopping for her little girl.. I was so happy to hear she was dancing again, you would be so proud of her. Rest well Kate for your little Maureen is so loved, and she has you to watch over her.  I am proud to have known you.

Dont worry Aunt Kate, I will help your little princess through anything she needs just like you did for me. No matter how far apart I am from Maureen I will always be just a phone call away, you taught me how much a simple phone call can help someone. I love you    bunches <3

I loved the visits from Aunt Kate, especially when she brought Maureen. I wish you were still here Aunt Kate, I miss the smile on your face, the sound of your voice and i defiantly miss how you were always there to help. whether it was for advice or for pain you always helped without hesitation. you were a very special person you took after Grandma Ruth in many ways with your loving personality. I look forward now to watching Maureen grow up and see how much of you is in her, I am very proud to call you my Aunt. hope things are well in heaven give hugs to Grandma for me please <3 I love you both very much!

Sometimes in life you meet people who make you smile ,who are warm and caring,who light up a room when they walk in . Who are just very special. Its obvious , that you are one of those people. It seems like I've known you and your family forever, It's been my honor.  With love and friendship always...

Kate was an amazing person and friend..We met at Wenonah when she was the therapist working with my class. She was always so supportive. She got me through some challenging times. She always reminded me that I was a good teacher and a great mom. She was there for me and Christina and Isabella when Angelo got sick..We shared so many great times; working together, taking classes,her wedding, the birth of Isabella and Maureen who share the same birthday a year apart, birthday parties, christenings, BBQs and just hanging out. I will always cherish my time with her...I miss her dearly and think of her often...Love you my dear friend.

Kate was a wonderful person, friend and confidant. Although distance did not allow us to get together frequently, we always laughed when we were together. I have fond memories of Kate and her family sleeping at our house and playing as kids. I always laugh thinking of all the crazy things we did at Uncle Tom's anniversary celebration and the crab fest in Maryland. We had a great weekend at her apartment in New York when she first started working, and her name was changed to “Kate”. We laughed so hard when we were both pregnant and due on the same day. (Maggie came early, Maureen came late!) And when both the girls started Irish dancing, planning when we would feis together.
Of course, our time together was not always happy. We said goodbye to so many good people, including Aunt Elizabeth and your Mom.  But you were always so strong…You always carried everyone through all the tough times. When you were diagnosed, you consoled me on the phone. Even at the very end, I believe you were the only one who knew it was the end. Brendan didn't even know. But that is how strong you are. You always carried your family and friends. 
Kate I wish we had more time. It seemed to pass so quickly. 
I know you are in heaven. I know you are still looking over us all. 
I know we will meet again and the conversation will pick up right where we left off.
I love you and miss you, dear cousin. Rest in peace.

There was a young mother with her daughter in my pew at church last week.  Even though it is almost a year, I felt overwhelmed with sadness and could barely control my tears as I remembered all the times Kate and Maureen sat with me at the 10:30 Mass at Infant Jesus.  I miss you my dear friend and think of you all the time.

In September 2004, Maureen had turned a year old and Kate and I arrived at Nokomis together.  We met on the first day doing bus duty in the gym.  We hit it off right away as friends and that was the beginning our beautiful love story as having a "special friendship."  As time passed, we began our visits outside of school, at my house and hers.  Sometimes we went out to lunch, the most important thing was that we truly loved each other's company.  When Kate first was diagnosed I looked forward to cooking for Kate, Brendan and Maureen each week, as well as, doing any household chores that would make her feel more comfortable while recuperating from her first surgery. Before and after her diagnosis she always enjoyed coming to our BBQ's in the summer.  Maureen would have a great time with the other children.  She met many of my friends and some of them started to work at Nokomis.  She welcomed them with open arms and made it like Nokomis was her home.  She made them feel so comfortable.  As Kate grew sicker and sicker, my heart grew heavier and heavier.  I thought to myself "please don't let me lose her too."  On January 21, 2011 I decided to drop by and visit my pal.  Kate welcomed me with open arms.  Her oxygen had been delivered that day.  We locked ourselves in her bedroom and had the best "playdate" ever.  We talked, shared, cried and hugged for 4 hours.  She gave me a jacket that day that I will always cherish.  Little did I realize this would be our last "playdate" on this earth, but not forever. I didn't realize how short her time was, but I think she did.  Kate's life revolved around Maureen.  She was a mother first and always.  When she said Maureen's name, her face lit up.  Maureen was the center of Kate's universe.  For many of us Kate was part of our universe and I loved her so very much.  Special days are expected to be hard, but the ordinary days are even harder.  Kate loved my salad and I loved making it her.  So until I can make it for her again....please continue to watch over us and protect us.  I love you and my prayer that you are with Our Father and no longer suffering and are at peace is my consolation. XXOOO

It was such a blessing to know you, Kate.  It was a priviledge to be your friend.  It was a gift to be at your bedside before you passed on to our Lord.  Nothing has ever touched me the way your life and death have.  I was blessed to find wonderful new friends in your sisters and closest friends, and helping Brendan and Maureen made the grief easier to bear.  I miss you. 
It was not coincidence that Michele was sitting behind us in church on Christmas Eve... I had just remarked to Tony that it was the 1st time I had attended the main church since your funeral... and then I had the opportunity to see Michelle!  Hugs,tears.and smiles made Christmas so special again. :) Thanks for being there with us. <3

Words cant describe how much I miss you! I see you in Maureen's smile, her laugh, the way she walks, talks etc. In the short time that you had with Maureen you did a great job. She is smart, beautiful and confident. She will go places in life, like you did.

I cried when you passed away. I still cry today. Although I loved you dearly, I couldn't make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke my heart to prove to me that he only takes the best.

I remember when Mr Ahrens backed into your truck in Mommy's drive way and kept going because he thought it was a tree?!?!?! LOL

I remember when we were little and we would get sent upstairs when the restaurant opened and you and Kelly would have to watch us and you guys would try to pay us to go to sleep.

I remember the baskets of holiday cookies that you made for everyone...you must have started baking in October....and you always put extra peanut butter cookies in mine ...thanks 

I remember making sausage breads,  M&M cookies and soda bread with you ( not all at the same time)  but all so yummy

I remember going to Grandma Laura's and hanging out with Eddie, Jimmy and CHris when I was real young and climing up what seemed to be a 100 foot ladder to the tree house and then the ladder mysteriously was gone...i was SO scared and you got me down :-)  THANKS, cause I probably would still be there

I remember our garden behind "the Box", picking blackberries, catching minnows, running races and hanging out in our tree house--which was MUCH closer to the ground-thanks God

I remember scaring Mommy with frogs and lizards we would find in the yard

I remember trips to Nanny's in Lake Shawnee and climbing on the huge boulder like it was Mt Everest, the ice cream man, peanut butter bread for the squirrels and catching flounder for dinner

i remember visits to Aunt Marion and Uncle Tiny's the long trip there --I can't remember too many details of the visits but I remember hamhocks,  laughing...a lot, and for some reason I also hear the theme song for MASH when I think of Rutherford NJ

I remember the volleyball nights at the HTC gym with all your friends and the night i got a line drive in the face that turned out to be the perfect bump for a spike...ouch

I remember the night that we had a bat in the hotel and the neighbors came over dressed like Batman and RObin with tennis rackets and bats to "save" us from the horrible beast...

I remember visiting you at Plattsburgh and not loving the looooong drive glad we were able to spend time with you :-)

I remember drivng to NJ for you to be in Donna's wedding and the car breaking down and you having to catch a ride with a stranger to be able to make it on time--(gosh that was dangerous--thank God it was a different world back then, we couldn't even think of doing that now...) But you made it, we made it and everyone looked beautiful

I remember the times at the white house in town, just hanging out and people dropping by and visiting --I remember a lot of smiles and laughing

I remember going bowling with you and your friends and Kevin W doing donuts in the parking lot of the Hoe Bowl in Catskill and me thinking I was surely going to die.  I swear we were up on 2 wheels -Dukes of Hazard style.  (To this day I cringe and get butterflies in my stomach when i hear my tires squeak going around a corner-thanks Kevin)

I remember picking strawberries at Story's Corners and eating more then went in the basket

I remember meeting your friends in LI and realizing that you had found people who weren't just "friends" but extensions of your family--thanks for the love extended family  :-)

I remember how much you loved being a speech pathologist and how your expertise helped Hailey get started early and you even helped me fight for IEP in Florida --that was a fun phone conference. :-}

I remember long distance chats with "Drop Kick Murphys" in the background and Skype-ing with CHa Cha Cha...

I remember more and more each day, and it makes me smile, even through the tears.

 To Me Titi Kate Was More Than An Aunt, She Was Also A Friend, A Teacher..I Learned Alot From Her and I know she is watching over me along with Nami..Her Beautiful Daughter Maureen Is a smart beautiful girl and uncle brendan is a great friend also :)..If I Could of said one last thing to Aunt Kate it would be that i made it..my music i finally made it..... Thanks to her ,Nami and others..It Happened :)

I remember the one Christmas Eve that we heard a hge bang on top of the hotel and we were convince Santa and his sleigh landed and we had to hurry and fall asleep 

I remember the clambakes when we were kids, all of us sitting on the back porch and mommy jumping over all of us b/c she saw a bat.  LMAO

I remember not making it to you high school graduation b/c I decided to run down the street in dr. scholls with no traction and falling and bruising every one of my ribs - trip to ER instead of graduation

I remember watching JAWS and Kelly scaring the *** out of us

I remember Easter Egg hunts, Christmas, your sweet 16 and so much more in the hotel

I remember our family sports nights in the field behind the hotel 

I remember hearing the stories of the rabbit with a salt shaker at the LI house

I remember going to my first concert with you at SUNY Plattsburgh -I think it was Howard Jones. 

I remember liking the campus enough to go to Plattsburgh myself and follow in your footsteps with Education major - didnt stick with that :) 

I remember your visits while I was in Plattsburgh - the homecoming parade - the care packages for me and my friends - always sending a little bit of home so I wouldn't feel so far away

I remember you teaching me how to drive - that couldn't have been fun for you :) 

I remember trying to get ice off one or your wipers and breaking it off

I remember learning so much from you and wanting to be like you

I remember all the times we would laugh so very hard that we would end up crying - recover and start all over again

I remember all our great years together you were such a wonderful big sister

I remember working at PJ Larkins together - some great times 

I remember missing you terribly when you went away to college - and before you left you wrote in my yearbook "Don't rush away the years they go by so fast - enjoy it while you can" How right you were

I remember the endless phone calls we would have the chats about everything and nothing - how I miss those calls

I remember the summer I lived with you on LI so I could take a history class and I got the letter from Plattsburgh saying I made Dean's list and how excited you were

I remember the the TCBY birthday cakes we had for you when we lived in Commack

I remember when you met Brendan and the story of meeting him - watching you build your lives together was wonderful 

I remember seeing the house you chose to build that life in and how you worked to get the pool and the new kitchen and make things the way you both wanted them

I remember you trying to teach Maureen to fall asleep on her own and having to not go in to her for 10 min incriments I think that hurt us more than her to hear her cry

I remember all the halloweens that I came and trick or treated with you and Maureen and the Easters, Thanksgivings, Christmases I got to spend with you all

I remember the Ringling Brothers Circus and Maureen saying "that wasn't the greatest show on Earth, I've seen better"

I remember yet again living with you and Brendan while you were pregnant with Maureen when I was laid off from work - how very close we got then and being there for Maureen's first 6 months of life was such a precious gift

I remember how very excited you were to have that little girl and how she filled your heart with so much love and joy

I remember the Disney shows on Broadway we went to see together with Maureen - Mary Poppins, Little Mermaid, Lion King 

I remember going to the Islanders Family Fun Night - lots of fun

I remember how very close we got as adults and how much I treasure that 

I remember being honored that you asked me to be your maid of honor and wishing I could have done so much more

I remember forgetting your veil at the house when we went to get our hair done for the wedding - and having to run back and get it

I remember the bag pipes you had surprise Brendan during your wedding reception

I remember so many parties at your house and all the wonderful food you would put out and how much love went into preparing all of it

I remember spending so many weekends with you, Brendan and Maureen - sorry we never got to take the cruise together that would have been so much fun

I remember watchinig Maureen learn how to swim and becoming a regular fish in the pool 

I remember meeting your new puppy and the smile she put on all your faces - great pick on Brittney

I remember the way you always went out of your way for everyone else always putting yourself last - always willing to help others even if you weren't feeling well yourself

I remember so many lessons you have taught me over the years and hope I am doing a good job of using those lessons 

I remember spending a couple St. Patrick's days partying with you - we had so much fun

I remember going to the Kenny Chesney concert with you at MSG what a great time 

I remember going to NY Met games with you so many over the years

I remember Maureen calling the iPod the iPad before and iPad ever existed 

I remember the honor of being Maureen's God-Mother - such a beautiful ceremony, dress and little angel 

I remember going to see Horton Hears a Who - with Lynn and her family and us and Maureen what a great time

I remember apple picking for the first time with you and Maureen - I had only ever been pumpkin picking

I remember how involved you had Maureen in everything, Soccer, T-ball, bowling, Irish Step Dancing and endless play dates - I always said you gave her a better social life than I ever had 

I remember all the suggestions you have given me over the years of things to do and always knowing the things I would love to do

I remember our trip to the bahamas when I graduated college our littel mini cruise from Fort Lauderdale

The memories are endless I would need a book to write them all down...I love you Kate more than words could ever possibly say - you were such a wonderful big sister, friend and you meant more to me than I could ever explain 

I pray that you are watching over us and helping to guide us down the best paths

I remember tagging along behind you and your friends while thinking "I want to be like you when I grow up", 
I remember crashing your Sweet 16 sleep over party,

I remember going to the festivals at the Mountain for years and them working at the festivals for even more years.  
I remember you going off to college when i was in like 3rd grade and thinking that it would never be the same, but you wrote all the time and were always there.  
I remember your graduation from Plattsburgh and Nanny fixing the toilet in the Butcher Block so the line would move faster.  
I remember your letters when I Lived in Brazil, they made home feel so close.  
I remember visiting your apartment(s) when you moved to Long Island and partying in the Hunter/Hamptons circuit :-)  
I remember family dinners and our laughing fits that seemed to start from nothing and last until our stomaches hurt.  
I remember when you met Brendan --you knew he would be your husband --even if he didn't know yet.  
I remember you being right there holding my hand and crying with me when Frank and I lost our first son I remember you being so excited to meet your nephew Gabriel for the first time and him just loving you from the start. 
I remember your wedding, you looked so beautiful and you were so happy to marry the man who held your heart.   
I remember you buying your house and making it "yours" 
I remember the Christmas news that was truly a gift...your visit from the stork in June.  
I remember Maureen's arrival and  the joy that she brought to you and Brendan and how proud Mommy was to hold her first born's first born.  
I remember crying over Mommy's diagnosis and rallying around her positive outlook on life.  
I remember kicking butt in fundraising for the Relay for Life at Shea and knocking their socks off in the Relay we brought to Hunter.  
I remember your inspirational speech at Relay after losing our precious Mom while you were battling your own disease.  
I remember Gabriel's birthday at Chuck E Cheese when he accidentially went home in some other kids shoes.  
I remember you and Brendan baptizing Hailey as your God Daughter--she is so in love with her God-family! The God-sisters are inseperable! 
I remember our last weekend together as "New Yorkers" before I moved to sunny Florida--bowling and pictures and Gabe's broken toe and packing up the truck till 3 in the morning.  Goodbye was so hard to say.  
I remember all the calls on the way to work and skyping to see the kids grow.  
I remember flying up to see you cause you made me nervous and spending some quality time together :-)  I remember getting Maureen addicted to the games on the iTouch.  
I remember the second Thanksgiving of 2010 that  brought us ALL together and thank God it did.  The smiles and laughs and food and fun...it will be in our memories FOREVER!  
I will remember our last week together with bittersweet awe.  
I will remember that you were right--- it wasn't "this week", I don't know how to feed people and you "get to do 3".
