I have fond memories of family functions with my niece, Laura, and her cousins as our families got together to celebrate holidays or other special occasions.

Laura was always the standout with her quiet yet cheerful disposition and demeanor and was loved by all. Her grandparents for instance always looked forward to her arrival at their home in Queens for activities like the annual Easter egg hunt while dressed in her finest outfit. As the first female grandchild, Laura was accorded the advantage at the start and was quickly follower by her male cousins to find the most eggs -and the one with a dollar in it! It made for an interesting recording on film of little legs scattering across the backyard in their Easter outfits and my father acting like a general directing the troops, sometimes with a little favoritism towards his first granddaughter.

Laura blossomed into a beautiful young woman, a wife and mother and will be forever in our hearts. We will indeed miss you, Laura!
