Born on June 21, 1934, in Panama City, Republic of Panama.
Luisa was the sixth of seventh children born from Jose Sing and Theodora Jacques.
She moved to the United States in 1967 and lived in Brooklyn NY until the late 1970s. She moved to Queens, NY where she resided until her passing.
Luisa worked many jobs, one of her longest was working at Martin De Porres Schools in 1981 until her retirement in 1999. Luisa loved to cook this is how she showed her love by giving back to others. She prepared many of meals for the youth and for her church community at St. Mary Magdalene, R.C. in Springfield Gardens. She was a loving, caring, hardworking member of the Woman’s Group after her retirement. Luisa spent a lot of time with her family and traveling. She enjoyed trips to the Caribbean and her home country of Panama.
Luisa will be remembered fondly for her sense of humor, her famous sayings, her larger-than-life laughter and of course her presence. Luisa, a wife, mother, and grandparent will also be remembered by her resilience. She fought a long battle until this past September 6th, 2021. She will live in the hearts and thoughts of those she leaves behind, but her spirit and legacy will continue to carry one. Every year is not the same as she would say, she is right. Every year will not be the same but the love for her will continue until we meet again.
