Maria Antoinette Laue, of Port Jefferson Station, NY, passed away on September 2, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on March 6, 1950, in Brooklyn, NY, Maria lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to her family.
Beloved wife of George Laue for 53 wonderful years, Maria was the heart of her family. She was a loving mother to Michelle Laue and Kristen Magro (Christopher), and a cherished grandmother to Meghan Moran (Robert Jr.), Bryan McCarren, Joseph McCarren (fiancée Victoria), Lea Magro, and Alaina Magro. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her great-grandson, Jaxon Moran, and the family looks forward to welcoming one more great-grandchild, whose arrival she greatly anticipated.
Maria was the dear sister of Philip Peluso (Maria), Nanette Quinn (Mark), and Peter Peluso (Angela). Her love for her family was boundless, and she found her greatest happiness in spending time with those she held dear.
Together with George, her family and friends, Maria shared a passion for travel. Their adventures took them to beautiful destinations such as Amsterdam, St. Martin, Port St. Lucie, Spain, and France. Whether exploring a new city or relaxing by the water, Maria embraced each moment with joy and curiosity.
A woman of many passions, Maria had a special fondness for Angels, was a devoted Mets fan, and never passed up the opportunity to go shopping—her favorite pastime.
Maria's warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of family, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
A visitation for Maria will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Gerard Majella Roman Catholic Church, 300 Terryville Road, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. Cremation will be private.
