She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred DiTomasso, with whom she shared 52 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a strong and loving family that was always at the heart of Marie’s world.
Marie was the devoted mother of Anthony, Lisa Williamson, Michael, Alfred, and Maria DiTomasso. She was the cherished grandmother of Michael, Kristina, Kelli, Thomas, Julia, Jessica, Tyler, Jake, and Alec, and the adored great-grandmother of Michael and Daniel. Her family was her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in each and every one of them.
She was also a beloved sister to Nancy Cassone, Catherine Burtone, and Joseph Badalamente, and is reunited in eternal peace with her late sister, Annette Morris.
Marie will be remembered for her boundless love, warm heart, and unwavering devotion to her family. She delighted in hosting every holiday, bringing her family together around her dining room table with home-cooked meals, delicious baked goods, and memories that will last forever. Her love for tradition and togetherness was unmatched.
A lifelong Yankees fan, Marie enjoyed watching baseball and golf, and she never missed an episode of Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune. She especially loved watching Aerial America on the History Channel, sharing stories with her family about the places she "visited" through the show. Marie also found peace in simple pleasures—long scenic drives, the serenity of the beach, or a quiet afternoon at the Port Jefferson Marina with a book in hand and a cup of coffee in the other.
A visitation for Marie will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 2–4 PM and 7–9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 10 AM at St. Gerard Majella Roman Catholic Church in Port Jefferson Station, NY. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3442 Route 112, Coram, NY 11727
Marie’s legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
