Deep Sadness!  I am so sorry to learn of Mark's passing.  I was working on a Real Estate deal with him when the phones and emails abruptly stopped.  This was completely out of Mark's character!  I am crushed to learn of his passing.  In my more than ten years in the Real Estate business I have never worked with a more professional, smart and proactive individual!  I knew when I didn't hear from him something awful must have happened.  How sad for all who knew him and sadder still for all who loved him!  Mark was an amazing BROKER and a true gentleman.  This is a great loss for the RE Biz!!!  Mark, I am so sorry that your life was cut so short!  This is really just too sad for words.  My deep condolences go out to your wife, family and office staff!  What a tragic loss for all!

My brother-in-law was truly loved not only by his family but his colleagues. The out pouring of sympathy was truly appreciated.  We as a family will truly miss him and thank all who came to paid their respects.   Mark had 2 loves his music and those he worked with in the real estate industry.    Thank you so much.

The Importance of a Good Name  
Throughout life you learn the importance of a good name and its importance in society. In the play The Crucible by Arthur Miller, one of the themes is a good name is more precious than life. Shakespeare wrote: “Who steals my purse steals trash; 'tis something, nothing; 'Twas mine, 'tis his, But he that filches from me my good name robs me of that which enriches him not, and makes me poor indeed.”
In the book of Proverbs, we are told that "A good name is to be more desired than great riches." A good name is such an excellent blessing that the only thing that is of more value is a good conscience. It would be better for a man to be robbed of his riches than to be robbed of his good name. Material things can be replaced.
Sorrow fills our hearts this sad moment, a sorrow that is deep and personal. Mark has silently closed the door of life and departed from us. Our lives will be empty in the areas that he had brightened for us.
Albert Einstein said, “The value of a man should be seen in what he gives and not in what he is able to receive.” In one word, Mark was a man who gave. He gave much. That is why as we will gather to say goodbye to him, I would like to write this piece in celebration of his life. Here was a life that exemplified brilliance…a life that inspired emulation…a life that burned so that others' paths were lit.
I have known Mark for almost ten years. Mark was a strategic thinker, a visionary who was brilliant, innovative and creative. As such, he contributed much to the development of real estate and Re/Max Signature and he generously gave us his knowledge, his expertise, his skills.
Mark was living proof of how fine a person can be. He was a good boss to the people in his charge and a loving husband to his wife. He was also a good friend to many of us and a great colleague. The character of the life he lived might be summed up in a few words: he was sincere, he was earnest, he was loyal.
Mark led his staff in such a way that he exemplified leadership. He gave energy, commitment and inspiration to his staff and to others with whom he worked. The Mark I will remember was one who not only was cheerful in himself but who gave much cheerfulness to others. He had a beautiful smile, a sense of humor and a gentle demeanor.  He was bright, logical and systematic in his thinking. He was always willing to share his ideas and information. He was passionately interested in business matters and would advise us on real estate and business. Many of us found him to be a splendid person of great intellect and big heart.
In his career he worked with passion, integrity and energy. By his death all the people who knew him will miss a highly intelligent, vibrant individual with a rare friendliness and charm of personality. Mark was a genuinely warm and wonderful individual—one we will miss greatly. Our sorrow is lessened only slightly with the comforting thought that we had the privilege to know him.
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
To sweet eternity
We all have different journeys, 
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
But never meant to stay…
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll make a great step forward,
And find an everlasting peace,
As our special reward.
Julie, our hearts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. Adlai Stevenson, the US Ambassador to the United Nations, once commented about a man and his contribution: “It is not the years in a life that counts; it is the life in the years.” Ladies and Gentlemen, Mark lived. We will all miss him. Goodbye, Mark.

We were shocked to learn of Mark's passing! Though we had only met him earlier this year, he made a huge impression on us as we ventured in to buying a condo.  The method in which Mark worked, made an originally terrible experience so much better.  I cannot express our gratitude at everything he has done for us!
