It is with great sadness that I learned of Mario's passing. He was a mentor and a friend. It was a privilege to work under Mario at Tri-Arts Press, and later, at PDR, (for the "three amigos", Bert, Joe, and Mario).  I had the good fortune to meet up with Mario and his wife in 2011, in New Haven. I didn't know that would be the last time. I will cherish the memories of the golden years of typography and the acquaintances we shared.

We will remember the dear Mario

I will always remember being part of your family when I was girl. Christmas morning was warm and inviting as every grandparent, aunt and uncle gathered at One O'Neil Court. Spring and summer drives with Christine, with your Dad to the garden center was fun. Swimming for hours in your pool, and playing for hours in your house. Watching your Dad on his ride-on-mower, and eating the plums from the trees he planted.  I'm fortunate to have grown up next door.  I'll be blessing his memories. Rita Rich (Tarnofsky)

I remember Mario from working for him a long time ago at PDR he was always a good man and treated everyone with respect. He told me that family comes first before anything else he was right. rest in peace my prayers go out to the family.

So sorry Christine. Such a difficult time for you, your sister and your mother. Thinking about you and praying for you.

I was saddened to hear from my brother Mario today that Mr. Rampone had passed away.  I will always remember the kindness he showed me as a child when we went over his house and also just watching him and my Dad working together helping Brother Thomas in the Holy Cross print shop. My sincere condolences.

It with my deepest sympathy that I hear that my godfather Mario Rampone is now in heaven. My thoughts and prays are with the Ramopne family, I am sorry that I am unable to come down to Long Island. The Guarneri family knew this wonderful man and his family for many years and our prays are with them. May God Bless you in the days ahead.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Many prayers for you, your mom, and your sister.  I have so many memories of your wonderful family.  Be comforted in the knowledge that he is always with you.  Til you meet again.
