Michael is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Juanita "Elsie." He is also lovingly remembered by his children: Michael, Richard (Audrey), John (Johanne), and Jessica. He was predeceased by his beloved son, Kevin.
Michael’s legacy continues through his grandchildren: Richard Jr., Anna, John Michael, Janelle, Brianna, Christina, Anthony, Jesslia, Lucas, Melissa, Ariana, Michael Steven, Christopher, and Steven Carlos. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Auriella, Sa'mya, Isabella, Jasia, and Jaycee.
In addition, Michael is survived by his siblings: Gregory, Victor, Lillie, and John.
He was known for his warmth, generosity, and deep love for those closest to him. He found great joy in spending time at his beloved house in Maine, where he created lasting memories with family and friends. Whether gathered around the table or enjoying the outdoors, Michael cherished the simple, meaningful moments of life. Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 11, 2025 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, located at 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. A religious service will be held at the same venue on May 11, 2025 at 8 PM. Committal service will take place on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd., Calverton, NY 11933.
