Philip Salice

A resident of Port Jefferson Station, New York, Philip was born on February 16, 1941.

Philip, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away leaving behind a lifetime of love, hard work, and cherished memories.

Philip was the beloved husband of Carmen for 61 wonderful years. Together they built a loving family that was the center of his life. He was the loving father of Philip, Barbara (Anthony), and Michael (Rebecca) and the cherished grandfather of Brianna, Andrew, and Jason. He is also survived by his sister, Joyce. He was predeceased by his brothers, Charlie and John. His greatest pride was his family, and he found immense joy in watching it grow through the generations.

Philip enjoyed a distinguished career with Exxon, where his dedication and commitment were recognized with a 20-Year Service Award. He believed in the value of hard work and perseverance, qualities he demonstrated every day and proudly passed on to his children.

A lifelong enthusiast of boating and classic automobiles, Philip found his greatest happiness on the water and among beautifully restored cars. He was a proud member of the Port Jefferson Yacht Club, where he served with distinction as both Rear Commodore and Commodore. An exceptional boat captain, he was admired for his confidence, skill, and steady hand at the helm. Whether spending a day on the water or talking about his favorite boats and cars, his passion was evident to everyone who knew him.

When he wasn't boating, Philip enjoyed watching classic Westerns on television, appreciating the timeless stories and characters they portrayed. He also loved cooking for those he cared about, and his meals brought family and friends together around the table to create lasting memories.

Philip will be remembered for his unwavering generosity, kind heart, and willingness to help anyone in need. He was deeply devoted to his family and friends, always putting others before himself. His strength, work ethic, sense of humor, and love of life left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Though he will be deeply missed, Philip's legacy lives on through the family he loved so dearly, the values he instilled, and the countless memories shared with those whose lives he touched.

Visitation will be held at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776, US, on August 5, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again on August 5, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Prayer Service will be held at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776, US, on August 5, 2026, at 8:00 pm.
