Tio Mauricio, fue un placer haberlo visto hace poco y tener la oportunidad de compartir con usted esos dias para el 4 de Julio! Sinceramente yo todavia no me lo creo que ya no esta aqui fisicamente con nosotoros en este mundo pero me tranquiliza saber que ahora esta en un lugar mejor, sin dolor y descansando en paz. Quiero que sepa que lo recordamos con mucho cariño y lo queremos muchisimo!

My brother Mauricio, we will always remember yo for your kindness and always being so good to my family. I feel peace knowing that you are with my sweetpea, Elizabeth. She will keep you company and walk with you in heaven.Take care of each other and know that you are always in our hearts. Love you.

Today we say our final goodbyes to you Tio. It hurts me so much that I couldn't be there to say my very final goodbye, but I know that you can hear me from here. Like everyone has been telling me, the important thing is that I got to see you while you were still here and I got to say my goodbye while you were still here listening and talking back. No matter how prepared we all were, it still doesn't ease our pain. Goodbye to a wonderful man who was always there for everyone who needed him. Goodbye to a wonderful brother who loved each and every one of his brothers and sisters and showed them nothing but love and kindness. Goodbye to a wonderful uncle who had endless love and advice for his nieces and nephews. Goodbye to a wonderful grandfather who loved to be around his grandchildren and loved to take them out to do things. Goodbye to a wonderful father who had unexplainable love  for his daughters, did everything possible for them and was ALWAYS there when they needed him. I'll miss you dearly, but your love and our wonderful memories will forever be with me Tio Mauricio! I thank you for being the man that you were to ALL of us and I am blessed to have you as my uncle bc no matter what you will always be mi Tio Mauricio! May you continue to rest in peace pain free! I love you Tio! I'll see you again someday and I know you'll have a delicious meal ready for each of us whenever we meet you again!

Aun es increíble para mi pensar en que ya iniciaste tu camino, que te nos adelantaste. Tu me dijiste la ultima vez que platicamos: "I Wish the best"... jamas voy olvidar ese momento tio. Voy a recordar tu voz, tu risa, tus consejos, los buenos momentos que compartimos juntos vos, mi hermano, su familia y yo. Le doy un gracias enooorme a Dios porque así lo permitió, qué gran regalo tuvimos. Buen viaje tío. Te voy a extrañar.

I WON'T EVER FORGET CHRISTMAS BECAUSE OF YOU; YOU MADE SURE OUR HOUSE LOOKED PERFECT WITH THE WHITE CHISTMAS LIGHTS...YES IT TOOK FOREVER BUT AT THE END IT WAS BEAUTIFUL TO SEE. I'M GLAD I HAD YOU AS MY FATHER/FRIEND & ALSO AS MY TEACHER WHEN IT CAME TO COOKING FOOD, I WOULD FACETIME YOU WHILE COOKING ANYTHING & YOU WOULD STAY ON THE PHONE UNTIL I FINISHED MY DINNER...YOU HELPED ME GET BACK INTO SCHOOL & I MADE A PROMISE TO YOU AND TO MY LITTLE FAMILY THAT I WILL GET MY DEGREE, I KNOW YOU WON'T BE THERE PHYSICALLY SEEING ME REACH FOR IT; BUT YOU'LL BE THERE IN SPIRT SMILING DOWN ON ME AND "I'LL SAY WE FINALLY DID IT".
