Richard Grant Moeller Jr.

Richard Grant Moeller, beloved father and husband passed away peacefully on February 11, 2013 with his wife Norma by his side after 66 years of marriage. Richard was born in Queens on July 8, 1925. He married Norma Clemente, the love of his life, and together they loved and raised two sons and two daughters in Valley Stream, N.Y. At the age of seventeen, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was on active duty in the South Pacific during WWII. He quickly rose to the rank of Pharmacist Mate. In addition to several medals, he was awarded a Bronze Star for bravery under fire. Richard was a remarkable man. He was a loving husband and father and respected and loved by all who knew him. His legacy of wisdom and integrity will live on in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Richard leaves behind his beloved wife Norma, his four children, Peg, Richard, Jeanne and Rob, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and his devoted son-in-law Buz, and daughters-in-law Grace and Selina. Richard will be greatly missed and will live in our hearts forever.
