So sorry and saddened RICK WAS LIKE A  BROTHER  ALWAYS GREETING WITH A WASSSSUP AND HEY SIS U GONNA COOK EVEN THO I MOVED I'LL ALWAYS REMEMBER OUR FUN TIMES AND HOW GENEROUS YOU  WERE  FOREVER IN MY HEART ❤  I STILL HAVE THE  DERBY YOU GAVE ME ...REST WELL 

Please accept my deep condolence in the untimely death of Ricky.  We connected in the early days of the Clubhouse. He was a gentle man with a wonderful smile.  It was a privilege knowing him.  May he rest in peace.  

To Ricky's Family,

With deepest sympathies for your loss. Our mother lived across the street from Ricky. When we visited her, if Ricky was sitting in his chair outside, he would always say “Good Morning” or "Hello". Sometimes he would cross the street with his bicycle so we could repair his brakes or a flat tire. Ricky was kind, friendly and polite. The neighborhood lost a wonderful soul. His presence will be missed. Ricky was the “Mayor” of the block. May his memory be eternal.

I am very saddened to have learned of Richard's passing. I knew him quite well; he used to visit us at Echo Arms Adult Home and attended the various functions we had there for many years. He genuinely liked me, always had a smile on his face, wherever I met him-at the Home or on his bicycle shopping at the Plaza.  May he rest in eternal peace.

I am so sorry for your loss,Ricky was a good man,I first met Ricky when I started work at Echo Arms,he would visit the residents & was always happy & polite,he will be missed. Blessings to you all🙏🙏🙏

To all of Ricky's family, 
My daughter and her family  moved into the neighborhood 3 years ago. Many  times when I went to my daughter house I would see Ricky sitting in his chair outside . Always friendly giving me a big hello and asked me how I was doing.   I will miss his sweet greetings and happy voice. God bless him and his family. I am so deeply sorry.  

We moved into the neighborhood five years ago and live across the street from Ricky.  He was so welcoming to us. Everyday he be outside sitting in his front yard and yell good morning to me. He was so kind. My husband Zack and I are really going to miss having such a kind neighbor. So sorry for your loss. 

I met Ricky in 2002 when my wife and I moved into the neighborhood. He was always riding his bike past my house while I was working around the yard. We instantly became fast friends, and realized we had a lot in common. We always talked about the NY Jets and the Knicks. He was always upbeat and happy every time I saw him. He was a loyal friend and genuinely a good person. It still feels surreal that I won’t see him regularly passing my house. I will definitely miss you, Ricky. May you rest in peace eternally!!

My dear friend Steve Elmaleh always spoke of Ricky with high regard and deep affection over the years.  I only met Ricky briefly a couple times but I could tell that Ricky was a wonderful soul.  The world will be  a colder place without dear Ricky.  Rest in Peace dear Ricky. Love Patty Wilson

Dear Shields Family,
Dearest Ricky was one of the best people I ever knew. We were roommates for a wonderful 20 years of fun, without one argument or fight. He nursed me like a mother when I broke my knee and couldn’t walk for two weeks. Despite his problems, he always appeared happy.  I can’t say how much I will miss his weekly calls. I am besides myself with tears of grief. God Bless You, Bro’ Ricky, you are with your beloved Mother now. Blessings to his Sister and his Aunt.
