Robert W. Polly

Robert W. Polly, born on October 13, 1934, passed away on November 7, 2024. A beloved husband to the late Alice, Robert’s life was deeply devoted to his family, and his warm spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Robert was the loving father of Karan Polly (James Gersbeck), Sharon Polly, and Kim Polly, as well as a cherished stepfather to Tom Powers and the late Lori Jean Powers. He was a proud and treasured grandfather to Michael, Elesia, Rebecca, Megan, Charles "Chucky," Jacob, Bobby, Elaine, and Kevin. His legacy extends to his great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Caleb, Alyson, Finn, Mikayla, Brayden, and Aryana, who all brought him immense joy.

Robert’s love for the outdoors was as strong as his love for his family. He found peace in nature, whether he was hunting, fishing, hiking, clamming, crabbing, or simply sitting by the water, taking in the beauty around him. Known for his storytelling, he shared vivid memories and tales of the past, bringing joy and laughter to family gatherings.

He is survived by his dear siblings Curtis, Carl, and Linda Manfrede, and is reunited with his late brothers, Bill and Richard.

Robert’s kindness, strength, and boundless love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered by all who cherished him.

A visitation for Robert will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. Prayer service by the family will occur during the visitation. Cremation Private.
