Robert J. Zombek

Robert J. Zombek, age 76, of East Setauket, New York passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023. Loving husband of Margo for nearly 30 years. Adored father of Audra (Jeff), Benjamin (Kimberly), and Michael (Lisa). Proud grandfather of Jeffery, Andrew, Matthew, Alexis, Averie, and Brenden. Growing up, Bob was one of four siblings, Lorraine, Janice, and Wayne. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Lorraine, Alex, Matthew, Nicole, Andrew, and Christine as well as many other loving family and friends.

Bob was always very dedicated to what he put his mind to. In high school, he was a champion long distance runner as well as a champ on the golf course. His hard work and dedication followed him into the Navy, where he served his country in Vietnam aboard the USS Sitkin. Bob was awarded two bronze stars for his actions.

A visitation for Robert will be held Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Hwy, Port Jefferson Station, New York 11776. A graveside service and military honors will occur Monday, September 25, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Liberty Street, Port Jefferson, NY 11777. The burial will follow the service, on Monday, September 25, 2023.
