

Rose Amoroso of Port Jefferson Station, NY, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024, at the age of 102. Born on September 9, 1921, in Manhattan, NY, Rose lived a life filled with love, dedication, and resilience.
Rose is now reunited with her beloved husband, Anthony M. Amoroso, after 38 years apart. She was a devoted mother to her late son, Anthony M. Amoroso, and a cherished aunt to her late nephews, Michael and Frank DeLuca. Her legacy continues through her adored great-niece Michelle DeLuca and great-niece Kathryn Jung, as well as her dear great-great-niece and nephew, Mason and Melanie Jung.
In her earlier years, Rose worked as a seamstress in the bustling garment industry of New York City, a testament to her skill and hard work. In her later years, she found comfort and community as a resident of the Allegria Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Port Jefferson.
Rose’s warmth, kindness, and spirit will be remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind a lasting impression on her family and friends, who will cherish her memory and the legacy of love she has left behind.
A visitation for Rose will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 10-10:30 AM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. Prayer service at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, New York 11933.
