Rose Jean Lionetti

Rose was the beloved wife of 38 years to the late John D. Lionetti. She was a devoted and loving mother to Rose Morrow; John Lionetti (and Lee-Ann Lionetti); Matthew Lionetti (and Linda Lionetti); Richard Lionetti (and Margaret Lionetti); and Theresa Milani (and David Milani).

She was a cherished grandmother to Christine Stephenson (and Shawn Stephenson), Catherine Wunsch (and Christopher Wunsch), Jocelyn Iadarola (and Christopher Iadarola), Michael Lionetti, Lauren Lionetti, Amanda Lionetti, Nicole Lionetti, Alyssa Dulovic (and Thomas Dulovic), Samantha Lionetti, Carolyn Milani, and Hunter Milani.

Rose was also an adored great-grandmother to Alex Stephenson, Ashley Stephenson, Anna Stephenson, Cara Wunsch, Christopher Wunsch, Cameron Iadarola, and Fiona Iadarola.

She is survived by her dear sister, Mildred Semmer.

Rose found her greatest joy in her family and treasured every moment spent with them. She had a passion for gardening and reading, especially enjoying novels by Danielle Steel. She also had a deep love for animals and could often be found caring for and feeding neighborhood cats, squirrels, and birds.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 PM and 7:00–9:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Infant Jesus R.C. Church, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Port Jefferson, New York 11777. The burial of her ashes will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, New York 11785.

Rose will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family.
