Stephen Creta

Stephen will be remembered as a devoted father, loving brother, and loyal friend whose kindness, generosity, and love of family touched everyone who knew him.

He was the beloved father of Christopher and a cherished brother to Fred, Donna, Scott, and Michael. Family meant everything to Stephen, and he treasured the time they spent together creating memories that will be carried forward for years to come.

Stephen proudly served the Nassau County Police Department for 23 years, dedicating his career to serving and protecting his community with honor and commitment.

Outside of work, Stephen found joy in the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, and riding his ATV upstate, where he felt most at home. He was also an exceptional cook who brought family together around the table. His homemade rigatoni was a favorite, and his fried shrimp on Christmas Eve became a treasured family tradition that everyone looked forward to each year.

Stephen will be remembered for his warm heart, his love of good food and great company, and the countless moments of laughter he shared with those he loved. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776, US, on August 1, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Prayer service at 3:00 pm.
