Dear Vicki...

These past few days, I have forgotten about sickness, I’ve forgotten about worry. I have forgotten about pain. instead now I’m remembering only good things. Our quiet times together at Home. Our youth. Our friends. Our fun, little moments. Your cooking Your laugh. Our family. Our children. Thank you for all you have given me, and thank you for all that we have shared together. I will never forget. Vick, The things you did, mattered. Your life, mattered. You left your mark on me, and you left your mark on this world with Abigail and Stephen. They will carry you along with them for their entire lives. They are your legacy. When I look at them, I see your face, and that will never change. And Now, our long struggle is over. And we won. We won because we always believed in each other. We won because I never gave up on you and you never gave up on me. We never quit. To the last day, to the last hour, to the last minutes. We still believed. You still trusted me. We faced everything, and we faced it together.

And we won.

Vick, I love you, I miss you, and I will never forget you. Rest now, and I will see you again.

Dear Vicki...
These past few days, I have forgotten about sickness,
I’ve forgotten about worry.
I have forgotten about pain. Instead now I’m remembering only good things.
Our quiet times together at Home. Our youth. Our friends.
Our fun, little moments. Your cooking. Your laugh.

We won because I never gave up on you, and you never gave up on me.

We never quit. To the last day, to the last hour, to the last minutes. We still believed. You still trusted me. In life, we faced everything, and we faced it together.
And we won.

Vick, I love you, I miss you, and I will never forget you.
Rest now, and I will see you again.

We were very sad to hear that Vicky has left us. Vicky and I worked closely together for 5 years at Integrated Resources sharing an office for a few years. Despite Vicky's well dressed and neat manner vs. my general sloppy sweaty appearance, we got along well and enjoyed working together. I was always jealous of Vicky's talent for drawing and penmanship even when writing a hundred words a minute. I remember our lunches together which included computer games on old Commodore 64's. I will miss Vicky making fun of my polyester permanent press dress shirts and noting that everyone can tell I got married because my dress shirts are finally ironed. I will miss Vicky recommending the new dress shoes I should buy because those were the shoes the partners wore at Mike's CPA firm. But mostly I will miss Vicky's friendship. Our (Sue and I) condolences to Mike, Abigail and Stephen.

Dear Mike, Abigail & Stephen,

You lost your wife and your children lost their mother way too soon to an unpredictable disease. I lost a friend who was also my boss in the late 1980’s at Integrated Resources. We worked hard but also had good times. We stayed in touch all the years after she left. I hope I was able to bring her comfort and inspiration these last few years. Having MS myself since 1975, I can understand to some degree what she was going through. Please know that my heart is with you all as you comfort each other at this time of sorrow. Sincerely, Susan (and Jeff) Axelrod

I fondly remember Vicky at the front desk of the hospital--a lovely lady who greeted visitors, patients and staff with her beautiful smile. Her financial oversight of the Gift Shop at the hospital was so appreciated when I arrived to oversee the volunteers. On behalf of administration and all the staff here at St. Catherine our deepest sympathy to the family.
