Barbara J. Husak

Barbara J. Husak, 92, of Port Lavaca, Texas, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Barbara will be remembered as a hardworking, devoted homemaker with a true servant’s heart. For many years, she also worked as a waitress at The Viking and Golden Corral in Port Lavaca, faithfully serving others with care and kindness. She enjoyed playing dominos and treasured the simple moments of time spent together.

Barbara was the mother of 10 children and was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her life was marked by steady love, perseverance, and the quiet strength of a woman who gave of herself daily for her family and those around her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Milton Krauser; second husband, Charles Husak; son, Richard Krauser; and numerous siblings.

Visitation will be held at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home on Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 1-2pm, with funeral services beginning at 2pm. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Nicholas Stricklin, Landen Stricklin, Bill McNeeley, Christopher McNeeley, Preston McNeeley and Joshua Wittkohl.
