She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Carter Miller, Wanda Carter Goynes, Deborah Carter Innocenti; sister, Jannesse Pemberton; brother, John Monroe Kelley; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Roger Carter and parents.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home in Port Lavaca. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home with Johnny Kisiah officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Her Grandson’s will serve as Pallbearers.
