

Beverly L. Cuellar, of Victoria passed into eternal life at her residence on February 24, 2011, surrounded by her family. Beverly was born March 29, 1938, in Houston to the late Jerry Vivian “Percy” and Helen Denman Wilburn.
Beverly was born and raised as a Methodist and later converted to Catholicism. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Victoria. Beverly was involved in RCIA and served as a lector and ACTS sister. For most of her life, Beverly worked as a purchasing agent until her retirement from Seadrift Coke.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 23 years, Michael Allen Cuellar of Victoria; her daughters, Kelley Smith Felchak and husband, Michael Felchak, of Victoria, Kris Smith Hoch and husband, Leon Hoch, of Houston, Kristy Cuellar Robins and husband, Buford Robins, of Austin; grandchildren, Nicholas Ryan Hoch and wife, Hannah Hoch, of Spring, Taylor Jordan and Carly Denise Hoch of Cypress, and John Michael Felchak of Victoria; great-grandson, Ezekiel Ryan Hoch of Spring; brothers, Jerry F. Wilburn and wife Billie Wilburn of San Antonio, and Robert D. Wilburn of Houston; niece and nephews: Lara Wilburn Harris, Robert Davis, Shelton Wilburn, and Jason Wilburn; and her furry friends and companions, Shotsie and Mollie.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her first husband Barry D. Smith and nephew, Brandon Wilburn.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm, Friday, February 25, 2011, at the Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home in Port Lavaca. A Rosary will be led by Deacon Ken Ryan at 7:00 pm.
Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 25, 2011, at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church with the Father Raul Salas officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Port Lavaca, Deacon Ken Ryan officiating.
Pallbearers will be sons-in-law and grandsons: Leon Hoch, Michael Felchak, Buford Robins, Nicholas Hoch, Taylor Hoch, and John Felchak.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice of South Texas and Dr. Tyson Key Meyer; her caregivers: Janie Lopez, Renett Holcomb, and Nancy Rosas; the staff of DeTar Senior Care Center, Dr. Rakesh Kathpalia and Dr. Suruchii Kathpalia.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, or Hospice of South Texas, 605 Locust Ave., Victoria, Texas, 77901.
