

Billy Everett Pearce, 84, of Port Lavaca, TX, passed away July 5, 2014. He was born on September 21, 1929 in Groesbeck, TX to the late William Everett and Celeta Ruth Stiles Pearce. Billy came to Calhoun County 38 years ago to care for his parents and help his brother, Robert Pearce, run a computer repair shop in Olivia. He was a retired pipefitter in the oil field. He was also a maintenance man for the Gingerbread School in Port Lavaca, was a wonderful craftsman and a member of the Jolly Elders at First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Celeta Carr of Humble, Sheila Gonzalez and husband William of LaPorte, Loretta Johnson of Corona, CA; son, Billy E. Pearce Jr., of Pearland ; step-daughters, Leisa Rayburn Roden and husband Rocky of Centerville, Lana Rayburn Adams and husband Jim of Houston, Lori Rayburn Rankin and husband Phil Dohrer of Houston; step-sons, Richard Rayburn and wife Sue of Corpus Christi, Michael Rayburn and wife Lyn of Taft; brothers, Robert Louis Pearce of Victoria, Henry Edward Pearce and wife Barbara of Deer Park; 7 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Allyne Hamby Pearce and parents.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens.
