Charlotte “Grandma” Karl, 76, of Port Lavaca passed away January 24, 2013. She was born June 9, 1936 in Centralia Washington to Mae Verna Parson Palmer of Oakville, WA and the late Charles William Palmer. Charlotte opened The Green Iguana Grill with her son, Justin in 2000. She was a member of the Port Lavaca Women’s Bowling League for over 20 years and was City Champ and was known to always have a diet coke in one hand and a cigarette in the other.
She is survived by her son, Justin Karl of Port Lavaca; mother; grandchildren, Mason, Kait, Josh and Alesia and special friends, Fernando Padron and Sam Morales of Port Lavaca.
She was preceded in death by her father; son, Kevin Charles Nylund and brother, Charles Palmer.
A Celebration of Charlotte’s Life will be held at a later date.
