Port Lavaca – Clarence Roy Kupatt, 84, of Port Lavaca passed away March 22, 2013. He was born July 12, 1928 in Port Lavaca to the late Emil and Louisa Rosenbaum Kupatt. He was a farmer, member of Salem Lutheran Church, served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict where he received a Bronze Star and was a member of VFW Post 4403.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Sue Kupatt; daughter, Teresa (Thomas) Pilgram, Brenda Ruppe and grandchildren, Zachary and Brandt Pilgram.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Laurin and Willet Kupatt.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 25, 2013 from 6-7 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church with Pastor Dan Zellner officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Gardens with military honors under the auspices of the Calhoun County Veterans Joint Honor Guard.
Pallbearers are Michael Hahn, Cecil Brooks, Kenneth Boyd-Robertson, Mike Johnson, Jack Haith, Marvin Spree, Zachary Pilgram and Brandt Pilgram.
Honorary Pallbearers are El Taco Coffee Group, CVS Pharmacy, Wilfred Hahn, Dr. Paul Bunnell, Carey Wilke, Don Wehmeyer, Max Sturm, Sonny Gottschalt and Memorial Medical Center Staff.
