David Bryan Hoover Jr.

David was born on May 5, 1974, to Rita Pond Svatek and David Hoover, Sr., in Kermit, TX. After graduating from Needville High School, he went on to study at Wharton County Junior College where he earned an Associates of Art degree. David later worked in oil field sales and consulting for many years. He was a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation.

Dave was a gentle soul and his family meant everything to him. He was a dedicated partner to his wife, Lacey, and an amazing father to his three daughters, Shayna, Aubrey, and Briley.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gerald and Jimmie Pond, Charlie and Helen Svatek, Armond Jr and Betty Sue Hoover.

David is survived by his wife, Lacey Crober Hoover; his daughters, Shayna Danae, Aubrey Ann, and Briley Ranell Hoover; his parents Rita and Dale Svatek, David Sr. and Janet Hoover; his brothers, Trey Hoover and wife, Candacy, Chris Svatek and wife, Kaitlin; his sister, Raeven Lehmann and husband, Eric; his stepsister, Jamie Nevin and husband Daniel; his mothers and fathers in law, Vickie and Greg Dorsett, Monroe and Julie Crober; his sisters in law, Calla Spencer and husband Devin, Alyssa Crober, Camree Crober, and Chloe Crober; his brothers in law, Daniel Gonzales and wife, Lauren, Eric Gonzales and Shera, and Trey Crober; his godfather, Carlile Pond; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dave will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Please join us for a celebration of his life, beginning with a memorial service to be held at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home, 123 Newlin St., Port Lavaca, TX, at 10 am on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Following the service, a reception will be held at First Baptist Church, 902 Calhoun St, Port Lavaca. Burial will take place at Davis Greenlawn Cemetery, 3900 BF Terry Blvd, Rosenberg, TX 77471, at 2:30 pm. Immediately following the burial, a gathering will be held at 13133 Walcik Rd, Guy, TX 77444.
