David Eugene Koepke, 72, of Port Lavaca passed away September 9, 2012. He was born March 10, 1940 in Bland, Missouri to the late George William and Hattie Bunners Koepke. He was a retired Oilfield Worker. He is survived by his daughter, Chris and Mike Kovarek of Port Lavaca; son, Dennis Koepke of Port Lavaca; sisters, Esther Glandon of Owensville, MO, Marie Woemmel of Bland, MO; brothers, Gus and Goldie Koepke of Bland, MO; Fred Koepke of Gerald, MO; Don and Martha Koepke of Shakapee, MN; George Jr. and Carol Kopeke of Warrenton, MO; sister-in-law, Ruby Koepke of Vienna, MO and grandchildren, Bailey, Devan and Kyle Kovarek. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Rushing Koepke; daughter, Teresa Koepke; parents; brother, Richard Koepke; sister, Shirley Hoelscher and husband, Fred; brother-in-law, Bob Woemmel and sister-in-law, Laverne Koepke. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Olivia Cemetery with Mike Hurt officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of South Texas.
