Ezekiel was a 2005 graduate of Calhoun High School. He attended Austin Community College, Victoria College and graduated from Victoria Beauty College. “Zeke” worked very diligently as a millwright at Infinity at Formosa, and in his unoccupied time he loved to cut hair.
Zeke was a man of personality. His comicality, one of his best characteristics, made him man of the crowd everywhere he went. He could talk to anyone like he knew them forever and wouldn’t hesitate making anyone a victim of his levity. Zeke was born a family man. He enjoyed spending time at home with the family, fishing, playing Texas hold ‘em, and when he had the chance, having a night-out with his closest friends. Zeke was a cherished husband, Daddy, son, brother and grandson.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene Carlyle and daughter, Daveney Carlyle of Victoria; parents, Tyrone and Linda Mendoza Carlyle of Port Lavaca; brothers, Sam Carlyle (Sarah), Keith Carlyle (Keizhia); sister, Danielle Villegas (Rudy); grandparents, Sam Carlyle, Helen Mayabb, Andrea Mendoza; and in-laws, Dion and Teresa Cortines of Victoria.
He was preceded in death by grandfather, Eusebio Mendoza.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 8:30-10:00 a.m. at Alamo Heights Baptist Church in Port Lavaca. Funeral Services will begin at 10 a.m. at the Church with Larry Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens.
