

Grace Alee Burge Landreth, 88, passed away May 30, 2011. She was born on February 22, 1923 to Ida Nabors and Anderson F. Burge in Hugo, Oklahoma. She married Francis Wade Landreth in Pensacola, Florida on June 16, 1944. They moved to Port Lavaca in 1954 from Ft. Worth, TX.
She worked as a dispatcher for the Calhoun Co. Sheriff’s office from January 1, 1977 until she retired in June 1989.
In June of 2007 she finally agreed with considerable encouragement to move to Inez, TX to be with her daughter and son-in-law Schott and Terri Motley.
Preceded in death by both parents; husband, Francis and son, Wade. Also brothers, Anderson F. Burge, Jr., Donnie Mac Burge and sisters, Kaye Hammons and Alene Keehn.
Survived by brother, Charles Burge; daughters, Terri Motley and husband, Schott, daughter, Jaquita Jo Landreth; grandchildren, Kimberly Ballard and husband, Mike, Schott Edward Motley and wife, Melanie, Michelle D. Landreth; great-grandchildren, Katherine Grace and Joseph Schott (Josch) Motley.
Graveside services will be Friday, June 3, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
