James F McSpadden Jr

James F. McSpadden, Jr., 92 of Port Lavaca passed away April 8, 2012. He was born November 3, 1919 in Ennis, TX to the late Meldia Stroud McSpadden and James F. McSpadden, Sr. Mr. McSpadden grew up in Temple, TX and served in the United States Marine Corp during World War II. He served as the Executive Vice President and Trust Officer for First State Bank which is now IBC. James was a member of the First Baptist Church in Port Lavaca for 64 years where he served as a Deacon.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Enod E. McSpadden; sister, Maurice McElroy of Bellingham, Washington; special friend, Al Ybarra and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Clydell McSpadden.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the Port Lavaca Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Gresham officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Frankson and Marilyn Mikula.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund at 902 Calhoun, Port Lavaca, TX 77979 or the Calhoun County Humane Society at 201 Stringham Dr., Port Lavaca, TX 77979.
