She graduated from Port Lavaca High School in 1948. She was a Justice of the Peace of Calhoun County for several years and County Clerk of Calhoun County for 12 years. She retired in 2002. Before retirement she was very active in several organizations including the OLG Altar Society.
She is survived by husband, Johnny of Port Lavaca; 2 sons, Jerry and wife Joan of Port Lavaca and James and wife Flo of Oyster Creek, TX; 3 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jim Key.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 6 -7 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home with a rosary to follow at 7 p.m.. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Gardens.
Pallbearers are David, Daniel and Devin Wall, Bobby Joe Paul, Jr., Steven Paul and Bob Paul.
