Jimmy Wayne Hamrick, 63 of Port Lavaca passed away peacefully on March 11, 2016. He was born on August 18, 1952 in Corpus Christi to the late James Ellis and Rosie Lee Hamrick. Jimmy was an avid sportsman who loved hunting, fishing, and football. He worked in the welding industry for the majority of his life. Jimmy loved spending time with his children and family above all else.
He is survived by his son, David Smith and wife Karina; daughters, Shelby Hamrick, and Jamie Black, and seven grandchildren; sister, Sharon Eggemeyer and husband Butch; and brother, Ronnie Hamrick of Port Lavaca.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by sisters, Gloria Koronczok, Geraldine Schlabra, and Shirley Jenkins.
A memorial service for Jimmy will be held at 2 pm on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Kisiah officiating.
