JoAnn Chovanec Wisdom

JoAnn Chovanec Wisdom passed away May 3, 2010 at the age of 61. She was born in El Campo, TX to Velma Kasparek Chovanec and the late Joseph Chovanec, Jr. She moved to Point Comfort as a child and lived there until her marriage, when she moved to Olivia. She was a retired RN.

Along with her mother, she is survived by her husband of 39 years, James Wisdom; daughters, Andrea Dobbratz (Daniel), Jodi Persilver and Ashley Wisdom all of Port Lavaca; sons, Jimmy Wisdom and Jerrod Wisdom both of Kansas and grandchildren include, Tyler Persilver, Ashleigh Persilver, Hailey Dobbratz, Kelsea Dobbratz, Jacob Wisdom and Jamie Mendenhall.

No matter what she had going on she always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Dobbratz, Matt Persilver, Skeeter Graveson, Jimmy Wisdom, Jerrod Wisdom , Joe Genzer.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 7, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Olivia Cemetery. The family will have a dinner following at the Bauer Exhibit Building at the fairgrounds.
