Port Lavaca- Joseph Lee Wilson passed on to a better life with his Heavenly Father Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 06, 2012. He was born on June 4, 1984 in Port Sulphur, Louisiana to William Joseph Wilson and Berlinda Lee Wilson.
He was a graduate of Gary Job Corp in San Marcos where he received his auto mechanic trade, and most recently from AIDT in Mobile, Alabama with certificate in structural welding. He was employed by PMI as a general mechanic. He is known for his strong work ethic and leadership skills. He was a free spirit, kind-hearted, and leaves a legacy of generosity.
He is survived by his parents, siblings – Elda M. Luera, Christina A. Jameson, Isaac P. Wilson, and Meranda L. Wilson, as well as nephew – Isaac L. Wilson and nieces – Payton, Kloe, and Hannah Jameson. He will also be missed by his maternal grandmother Elda T. Clark, paternal grandfather Jack George, aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and lifetime friends. He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather Johnny S. Luera, paternal grandmother Dorothy Merle George and cousin Michael Suire.
Serving as pallbearers include: his brother Isaac P. Wilson, Uncle Johnny A. Luera, Cousin John Thomas Crutchfield III, and friends Miguel Dominguez, Sergio Pena and Eric Tijerina; honorary pallbearers are long-time mentor Justin (Dean) Boggan, cousins Dillon A. Luera, Nicholas H. Luera and Andrew J. Boggan.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral will be Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens. Following funeral a small reception will be held at KC Hall.
