It truly touches me to see how much respect and love everyone has shown for my dad. There will never be another man like him. Growing up we may not have had a whole lot of material things... But we were raised with morals and a whole lot of love. He is the true definition of what it takes to be a father and a man. They say time heals all wounds... But for me, my brothers, and my sister... Losing our dad isn't healing so well. Thank you all for your kind words. This man taught me to ride my bike, tie my shoes, and to open my mind and heart enough to succeed in life. I hate that it ended so soon. My last promise to my dad is that I will instill his morals and the way he raised me into raising my son. I hope he become half the man his pawpaw was. Thank you all for your best wishes, and to my brothers, sister, & mom, I love you all very much. Let's make sure we continue to live our lives happily and together... The way daddy would have wanted it!

He was the best father anyone could have.  Like many of you have said he was a rock that could always be counted on he never let you down.  He would do whatever it took to get us what we needed growing up. He will never be forgotten.

Short drawers I will miss you giving me grief every morning. I respected you and really looked up too you. Thank you for all you have taught me and I promise not to let you down. Anna you and your family are in the prayers of all at rig 3.

J.W. was one of those special people you meet in life that is unselfish in his daily life.  What time I did spend with him in Williston was most memorable.  May God bless you and your family and I will be thinking of y'all in my prayers.

J.W. played a key role in the success of Pioneer Drilling and will be missed by the entire Pioneer family.

I travel to Williston, ND monthly to conduct training for Pioneer (among other companies) and I stopped by the shop just to visit J.W. and was totally shocked and saddened by the news.

No words of comfort are sufficient during this time of mourning but I hope that J.W.'s family will know that my family and I will be remembering them in our prayers.

I respected J.W. as a true professional and valued him as a friend.  My boss and I both will miss seeing him during our travels "up north."

Every time I saw JW he was smiling!!He will be greatly missed by alot of people in Williston and ND.All his family are in my thoughts and prayers.He was a SWEET Man!!!!All of us at the Airport Int' Inn will miss him

JW was our rock! He is so missed! My life is all the better for having known him and worked with him! I will miss sitting in his office visiting about family and the job - it was a good balance!

JW was a great guy to work with at the rig and at the office. He will be missed. Rest In Peace Buddy.

Thank you for the time my family and I got to spend with JW.  I haven't met all of you but he would share stories about fishing, riding his Harley and how much each one of you meant to him.  He would tell me stories from when he was growing up, to working over sea's.  JW taught me the importance of preparing for a hurricane and I helped him prepare for the COLD North Dakota weather by explaining to him how a block heater worked, to checking his antifreeze.
There are so many stories he shared with me that I could tell you, Thank You for each one of them.  He was a true Texan! And will be missed. 
I wish we could be there, but you all are in our thoughts and prayers.

Anna, I am so sorry for the loss you and the family are going through.  May God comfort all of you as you go through this time of sorrow and heartache.  I will never forget the time I spent with you and JW during Bo's hospital stay in Houston and what it meant to witness the true, deep compassionate friendship he had with Bo.  What a great guy and friend.  JW will be missed by many...

My best pal at Pioneer. He is why I took the job. I will forever miss my old buddy. Having JW tell you that "you're a good hand" was the best compliment you could receive in this business.Feared by most, respected by all. Probably the jolliest man I have ever met. Morning coffeee will never be the same! We all love you Anna!

J.W. was a fantastic leader and role model. You could always count on a smaile and a laugh no matter how trying the times. He will be missed by all who knew him.
