Patricia L. Wilborn

Patricia L. Wilborn, 87, from Port Lavaca went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2019 in Waco, TX. She was born in Parkston, South Dakota to Duane and Marcella Hoffman. Patricia attended school in Parkston, South Dakota through her sophomore year in high school. She and her family moved to Port Lavaca where she attended Calhoun High School until graduation. She married the love of her life, Charles Briggs Wilborn, on Feb 9th, 1953 and they spent 64 wonderful years together. Raised 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Patricia loved Jesus! She loved her family and found great pleasure in doting on her grandchildren. She and Briggs loved to travel. Her hobbies were playing cards and dominoes competitively with friends and family. Patricia was the driving force of our family. She loved her church and enjoyed being a member of each congregation she belonged to. She was a member of Church of Christ in both Waco and Port Lavaca. She spent the majority of her working career at the First State Bank & Trust in Port Lavaca. Patricia Wilborn is preceded in death by her husband Charles Briggs Wilborn, and her son Keith Everett. She is survived by her children D.D. Hoffman and his wife Kelly of McAllen, Briggs Wilborn and his wife Cathy of Corpus Christi, Dollyn Tusa and husband Johnny of Waco, Lynette Mallory and husband Pat of Magnolia. Grandchildren Sommer, Christopher, Barrett, Haley, Samantha, Kelly, Bryan, Jennifer, Casey, Lauren, Tricia, and Brooke. Her great-grandchildren Brady, Scarlett, Harry, Harper, Kylie, Calhoun, Cooper, Wade, Briggs, Beckett, Barbara Ann, Abigail, with baby Kaden on the way. Visitation will be held in Port Lavaca, on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 10am. With funeral services to follow at 11 am at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home with Shan Jackson of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Gardens. Pallbearers are her grandsons: Christopher Hoffman, Grady Fields, Bryan Wilborn, Lance Summey, Jason Kennedy, and Nate Doughty. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society. The family of Patricia wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Stoney Brook Assisted Living of Hewitt and Bluebonnet Health Care for the amazing love and care they gave.
