Richard E Mauer

Richard E Mauer 67 of Port Lavaca passed away March 1, 2011. He was born November 9, 1943 in Cuero to Richard E. (Jack) Mauer, Sr. and Mary Poetter Mauer. Richard was retired from Zachry Holding Inc. after 25 years and was self employed electrical consultant. He was a master electrician. He was a member of the Rockport Center of Art, Fine Art America, the Artists Registry and Art Pickle. Richard was graduated from Calhoun High School in 1962.

Richard is survived by his wife, Judy Garbe Mauer; daughters, Tiana Mauer Smith (Harold) and Elizabeth Tomlinson; sons, Richard David Mauer (Michelle), Jeremy W. Mauer (Joan) and Bobby Kyle (Tiffany); sister, Marilyn Mauer McConnell (Joe); 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Helen Mauer.

A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Gresham officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Kurtz, John Kurtz, Douglas Tomlinson, Jr., James Debusk, Jerry Mauer and Steve Mauer. Honorary pallbearers will be Christ McConathy, William Vickery, Jr. and John Hampton.
