Angelina Bruno, 94, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2016. Angelina was born in Brooklyn, New York to Dominick and Lucy (Canterino) Marinaro. In 1939, she met her loving husband, Frank T. Bruno Sr. where they began the legacy of their family. They moved to the Daytona Beach area in 1968 and she most recently resided in Port Orange with her loving grandson George Edwards, who cared for her.
Angelina loved to travel with her husband. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and playing the lottery. Angelina was a loving wife and mother, whose role as “Matriarch,” she embraced proudly. Angelina always made sure her family was her first priority. Her spirit and strength of will and character shall always live on throughout many generations to come.
She is predeceased by her husband of 67 years; Frank T. Bruno Sr. Angelina is survived by four of her seven children; Rosanne Kassaleh, Frank T. Bruno Jr., Donna Owens and Sharon Schneider; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; brothers; Dominick and Frank Marinaro along with many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and their families. Angelina was predeceased by her sons; Baby Thomas F. Bruno, Thomas Bruno, daughter; Angela Edwards, two sisters and one grandson.
Angelina will be missed by all. She had a long and fruitful life loved by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Friday October 7, 2016 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 4815 S. Clyde Morris Blvd Port Orange.
