April Suzanne DeSimone

April DeSimone of New Smyrna Beach tragically passed away at 4:00am August 6th, 2021 due to complications from COVID at the young age of 47. Her passing leaves a void for all that knows her as April was always full of life, energy and wit.

April grew up in Pennecamp State Park in Key Largo before her family moved to Port Orange when she was 19, which is when she met her future husband, Tom. April and Tom dated for several years while attending University of Florida before marrying in 2000 and moving to Winter Park, Florida. April and Tom moved to NSB in 2002 and were blessed with two beautiful children.

April and her family enjoyed the beach, boating, and the comradery of our close community. She will join her deceased Father, Mark Yelvington, and her youngest brother Jonathan Yelvington in Heaven and is survived by her two children, Christina and Michael, her husband, Tom DeSimone, her Mother, Debbie Yelvington, her brothers and their spouses, Jim and Taka Yelvington, Jeff and Emily Yelvington and their children, as well as the many DeSimone families and Uncles, Aunts, and cousins that love her immensely.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 21st at the Brannon Center in NSB, 105 South Riverside Drive at 2:00pm, Arrangements are under the careful direction of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 North Nova Road, Ormond Beach, Florida
