Barry Scott Turp, 57, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Halifax Hospital due to complications related to colon cancer. Barry was a long-time resident of South Daytona. He graduated from Spruce Creek High School in 1978 and worked for Florida Power & Light. He was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. He was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2003, but refused to let the disease get the best of him. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday - June 9, 2018 at the Riverside Pavilion at 3431 South Ridgewood Ave, Port Orange, Fl 32129 from 1pm - 6 pm. (RSVP to Jan). The family encourages all to donate to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in Barry’s name. We will miss him terribly.
