Debra Ann Monette, 64, passed away May 6, 2022, in Port Orange, Florida. She was surrounded by her family. Her battle with cancer was brutal, but she battled it courageously. Debbie was born to Carolyn and Michael Graham on March 25, 1958, in Worcester Massachusetts. She is survived by her wonderful and patient husband Rob who nursed her and stood by her side every step of the way. She will be missed sorely by her amazing son Daris Carter, his wife Lauren and their beautiful granddaughter Quinn. Her sister Deedee Jura, brother John Graham, his wife Cathy, stepfather David Post and his wife Phyllis will always hold her in their hearts and miss her terribly.
After deciding that she hated the Vermont winters she and Rob moved to sunny Port Orange, Florida. She always loved the beach and the sun and was very happy there. She created a lovely home with Rob and their dog Rosco. She had a great set of friends from Vermont and Florida. Her friend Beth Moffat was a huge help to her in her last few weeks, and her friends Wayne and his deceased wife Fran were very dear to her. Debbie loved to dance, had a zest for life, had a stubborn streak that served her well. She was very funny, and made everyone laugh, sometimes unwittingly. She had wonderful friends and a loving family. She was blessed to know the Lord and we are grateful to know that we will see her in heaven. There are no services at this time. However. We will have a memorial service in the near future. It will be announced shortly.
