After faithfully serving his country in the United States Navy as a young teen, Edwin began working at Gillette in Boston, Massachusetts. He raised his four children in Braintree, Massachusetts, where he worked as a lithographer. He enjoyed riding his fifteen-speed bike to and from work, a long distance of over twenty miles. Along with his passion for riding his bike, he also enjoyed playing horseshoes with family in the backyard of his home, even sometimes by candlelight. Edwin, or better known as “Eddy” by all those who adored him, always looked forward to a good family game of poker or cribbage at the dining room table. Eddy also loved freshwater fishing and target shooting. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching candle-pin bowling on TV along with a variety of game shows. Eddy shared his love for old western movies with his grandchildren. Upon retirement, Eddy moved with his wife Doris to a home in Port Orange, Florida. They made many memories here over countless holidays spent beside family. Eddy and Doris also enjoyed traveling with family and friends on many cruises to tropical destinations. Eddy was a family man who enjoyed everyone’s company and will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
