I was always excited to hear that Aunt Flossie and Lee were in town. It was always heartwarming to see my Papaw light up when his baby sister was around. She was always so kind to me and I loved her stories so much. Please give Papaw a hug for me Aunt Flossie. Rest in Peace. Love, Joey

She was my Aunt Flossie. A one of a kind. I am still in awe at the love and closeness of her family. My heart breaks for you all. Maybe a little more for Madie.

My aunt, my wonderful aunt who we will miss so very much. My aunt that I will see again someday. She will stand with my parents and family and call out to welcome me. I think she will smile and say. I knew you would be here and now you know how wonderful it is to have your family together again. She is so busy now with my mother and father as well as all of her brothers and sisters but they are smiling and waiting to greet us with a smile and say "Welcome home" Love and miss you all,

There are a million things I could say.. I loved her and was amazed at the stories she told of the old days...The world was a better place having her in it and Heaven is a greater place for her being there. We will all miss Flossie and I am so greatful for having known her.. Prayers for the children she leaves behind..Rest easy my precious Flossie..

Flossie will be missed by so many . She was so full of love for her family and we all loved her so very much. I will think of her every day and remember her stories that she told and her sense of humor. The way she danced when she was younger and the smile on her face when she came to visit. She loved to come to our family reunions and was very sad when she had to miss the last three that we had. She was the last of the 12 children of Matt and Lona . What a wonderful reunion they are having in Heaven and how happy they all are that they are together again. Flossie I love you and will always keep your memory close to my heart. Love Hilda Sue

Flossie was born in Silbert, KY and was one of 13 children. She was married at 15 years old. She was the coal miner's daughter of Matt and Lona Doulen. Her daughter Lee selflessly took loving care of her for the last 13 years of her life. Her great-granddaughter Madison Parcell dedicated much love and attention to her Mammy. Flossie lived a full and happy life until her peaceful passing at home with her family on July 28.
