Mr. Kling was born on July 2, 1951, in Jersey City, NJ. In 1981, Fred left the cold weather and headed south, like most of us, to Port Orange where he lived for many years. His education and skills were developed at local grocery stores at a young age, sharpening his skills to become a meateorologist, and for many years owning and operating Gaff’s Quality Meats in Ormond Beach, Florida. He loved spending time with his family, drag racing, classic cars, bowling, working in the yard, fishing, and teasing his grandchildren. He was funny, stubborn, and lived his life the way he wanted to live. He was a husband, a dad, a grandpa, an uncle, a nephew, and a friend to many.
He is survived by his loving wife (Barbara), four sons, Frederic III, Kevin, Kyle, Kody, and daughter Kelly, sister Doris, and preceded in death by his brother, Jerry. Services are Sunday, Oct 22, at 2 pm. Contact a family member for location information.
