I met Jerry in 1971 at a horse show in Virginia. We became friends till the end. We didn't see each other very often but we chatted on the phone when something important was going on with us. He was like the brother I never had and a good friend. I'll never forget the day he called me and I had just put a young colt on the crosstie in the barn and he was fighting it. We chatted for about an hour and Jerry said, "well I guess you have him broke to the crossties by now"..I laughed till I cried. I know you all will miss him and I surely do.

I loved him so, more than he knew. Always thought he would be here. Just wasn't meant to be in this lifetime. I will carry his heart in my heart.

To a man who above many odds, gave all he had to his family and us kids with a promise to care for and provide all we would need and most of what we could want; I leave my undying gratitude and love. Thank you for the memories and thoughtful lessons I have gained and can pass on to my son and daughter to help them have a better understanding of life, as well as, leading us one-by-one to the knowledge and acceptance of God's forgiveness through His Son, Jesus Christ. Our lives will never be the same. We love and miss you very much! God bless!

My wife Elaine and I (Dennis) are very sorry for your loss, we have both worked for Three Flags RV Park for four years, where we met Jerry and Allie. I miss them both already. I'm only sorry I didn't know him longer, he was as nice a friend as anyone can ever hope to meet. I know he is here in spirit and someday I hope to see him again. We are very sorry for your families loss, we will all miss him deeply, he was one of a kind.
PS love you to Allie.

Rest easy my lifelong friend.

Our years of raising kids, raising horses or raising h--- are passed.

You are safe now and out of pain.

God knew your time had come for needed relief from all these worldly ties and hurts.

Memories are held in abundance and will remain. So, till we all regroup in our Heavenly Fathers Home, rest easy.

Jerry, Todd, et al - I guess my first entry of sympathy was deleted somehow. You both know how I felt about your Dad. Such a tragedy. I'm so thankful that both of you really made your relationship with him meaningful - you can draw from that in years to come. See you on Monday. Betsy
