Gladys Traverso

Funeral Services for Gladys Traverso of Port Orange, FL (formerly of Vineland, NJ) will be held Wednesday, July 11th at 11am in the chapel of Shannon Maloney Funeral Home, 4084 Halifax Drive, Port Orange, with Rev. Chris Hoffman officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10am, with entombment at Daytona Memorial Park to follow after the service. Mrs. Traverso, 82, passed away July 5, 2018. Gladys was born in Vineland, NJ and relocated to this area in 1980 to follow family members who had previously made the Daytona Beach area their home. A homemaker, she loved to go dancing and walking on the beach with her husband, Joseph, who predeceased her in 2011. Gladys also found pleasure in going to the theme parks with her family, listening to bands and musical performances, and was deeply committed to her loved ones. Having attended Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church for some time, she is survived by her three sons Joseph (Debora) Traverso, Brian (Jennifer) Traverso, and Daryl Traverso – all of Port Orange, FL; two grandsons, Brian M. and Joseph A.; three sisters Julie Lawrie, Marion (Vince) Scaringello, and Elaine White. Additionally, she will be especially missed by her niece, Darla Jennings, nephew Brent Scaringello, and a multitude of other nieces and nephews.
