

Janice E. Amroian, 95, of Port Orange, FL passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026. Janice was born in Jamestown, New York to Harry and Cecil (nee Swanson) Lee. Janice was a woman of many talents and hobbies. She became a hairdresser and operated her salon out of the family home in Niagara Falls, NY. Janice loved music and dancing and for many years taught dancing with her late husband, Mike, in Niagara Falls. After moving to the Daytona Beach area to be closer to the beach, Janice became employed in the banking industry. Her responsibilities were the management of the first-floor vault and safety deposit boxes as well as teller responsibilities. It was then that Janice discovered her talent of painting and it became to be a passion of hers. Some of her art pieces have hung in Ponce Inlet city hall, and she was a member of the Ponce Inlet Art Guild.
An active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church choir, Janice was always known for having a smile on her face, and inspiring laughter and joy among her friends and family.
Left to cherish Janice’s memory is daughter, Roxanne Snyder and her husband Eric of Virginia; son, Michael and his wife Annette of Daytona Beach; grandson Mathew Snyder and his wife Emily of Madison Heights, VA, and great-grandsons Christopher, William, and Michael, as well as many nieces and nephews from Florida to New York State. Besides her parents and husband, Janice is predeceased by her siblings, Don Lee of Niagara Falls, NY and Harold Lee of Olean, NY.
A Visitation and Gathering of Friends and Family will be held on Friday, January 30th from 5:00 – 7:00pm at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home – Port Orange, 4815 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange. Interment will follow in Volusia Memorial Park - Ormond on Saturday, January 31st at 11:00am, where she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband of 63 years. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to Lourdes Academy.
