Jason David Bonaroti of Jacksonville, FL (originally from Springdale, PA) peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 10th, 2023 while visiting a friend in DeLand, FL. Jason was born May 26th, 1977 to Susan (Carney) Bonaroti & Dennis D. Bonaroti of Springdale, PA where Jason grew up & attended Springdale H.S. and The Art Institute.
Jason was an extraordinary musician, an artist and had many talents - from graphic & web design, drawing, computer graphics, to writing song lyrics and designing album covers & merchandise for various bands. He could play many musical instruments and played in numerous bands as the lead vocalist in the Orlando and Daytona Beach areas. He was also happy to be producing throughout those years, with his passion for music.
Jason was one of the funniest people you’d ever know and could imitate just about anyone with his unique voice! He loved his hometown Steelers and represented them all over Florida.
Jason always said that his finest accomplishment was his son who proudly shared his name, Jason David Bonaroti Jr. and who lived with him in Jacksonville. Other than his son and parents, he is survived by a sister, Lacy Bonaroti – (John) Walmsley of Cheswick, PA and a brother, Benjamin D. Bonaroti of Dallas TX; nieces, Ava Marie, Deni Mae & Liberty Susan Walmsley; and good friend Samantha Arnold of Jacksonville FL. He was also very proud of his Irish and Italian roots and loved his large blended family of relatives from both ethnic sides. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, David R. Carney & Joyce (Leo) McCormick and paternal grandparents Gennero & Tomesina Bonaroti. A Celebration of Jason’s life was held on Sunday, August 20th in Cheswick, PA, with plans for a future gathering to celebrate his life at a later date in Florida.
