John G. LaVigne, age 73, of Edgewater, Florida, formally of Elmira, New York, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017. He was born on December 16, 1943, to his loving parents Amos LaVigne and Florence (Nash) LaVigne.
John was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife, Delores (Dolly) LaVigne, his children: Brenda LaVigne, of Horseheads, New York; Lorraine (James) Wieziolowski of Pine City, New York; Kimberly LaVigne of Elmira Heights, New York; and John (Cathy) LaVigne, Jr. of Mulberry, Florida. His sisters: Joan Levesque; Carol (Butch) Eames; Dorothy Whitlow of Elmira, New York; Evelyn Robles of California. Brothers: Tom LaVigne and Jay LaVigne of Georgia; Donny LaVigne of Horseheads, New York. Ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, several brother in-laws and sister in-laws.
The date and time for the Celebration of John’s life will be posted on this site once confirmed. The family has also planned a private burial at Maple Grove Cemetery on Broad Street in Horseheads, New York.
